I could not get the xonar Liinux card to work pci-e on ubuntu, even after compiling also drivers from source, but it is still detected on ubuntu as a pci-e bridge and a pci card when typing 'lspci' into the console. Updates may have corrected that.

It would probably be useful if you posted the results of the aplat -l command, at least then some other more clever people may be able suggest a way of getting the onboard or the xfi to work.
